Youth Empowerment Program

Students, teachers, or community leaders fill out a quick form on our website to start a Play Passion Project shoe drive.

We ask for basic information like:

• School or organization name

• Contact information

• Estimated number of participants

Once submitted, our team reviews the request and approves the drive.

After approval, we send you everything you need to run a successful shoe drive, including:

• A Play Passion Project collection box for your school or organization

• Promotional flyers and digital graphics

• Tips for organizing volunteers and promoting the drive

• And more!

This starter kit makes it easy for anyone to lead a shoe drive in their school or community successfully.

Students and volunteers place collection boxes in their school, business, or community spaces.

During the drive, you will:

• Promote the initiative

• Encourage donations

• Track the number of shoes collected, and sort them with your volunteer team.

Most drives run for about 1–2 months and collect hundreds of pairs of shoes.

Once the drive is complete:

• Play Passion Project can pick up the donated shoes, or

• You can drop them off at our storage location

After receiving the donations, our team prepares the shoes for distribution to communities in need.

Participants who hosted the drive may also have opportunities to assist with preparing and distributing the shoes, allowing them to see the direct impact of their work.

Once the shoes are received, our team carefully sorts and organizes them into three categories to promote efficiency and ensure we can properly manage the shoes we distribute.

After sorting, Play Passion Project distributes the shoes to communities in need, including:

• Local schools and families

• Community organizations and shelters

• International partner organizations

This process ensures that every pair of shoes collected through your drive reaches someone who truly needs them.

After the shoes are distributed, we share the results of your drive so you can see the difference you made.

Participants receive:

• Updates on where the shoes were distributed

• The total number of shoes their drive collected

• A certificate recognizing their leadership and service

• Service hour confirmation forms for students who volunteered

Participants will also be recognized on our website and social media.

This allows students and volunteers to see the real impact of their leadership and service while receiving credit for their efforts.
